- פִּגְיוֹן, פִּיגְ׳m. (corrupt. of pugio) dagger. Kel. XIII, 1; Tosef. ib. B. Mets. III, 1 הפגש (corr. acc.). B. Mets.84a הפיג׳. Bekh.V, 3 (35a) נטל פי׳ וצרםוכ׳ (Bab. ed. פיגום, corr. acc.) he (the Roman) took a dagger and cut into its ear.
